| My wife and I are searching for a house for our family. We always lived in other people’s houses and we’re not sure what should we pay attention to when looking houses. I know what house I would like to buy, but they are too expensive, so we’ll have to find one that suits our needs and our finances. I have few basic buying questions: should we take a mortgage and is it maybe better to buy an old house and renovate it. |

| Just last night my friends and I talked about impossibility of buying a house without a mortgage. It may be possible for some people, but for my family, mortgage was really essential. With my salary and without a mortgage I would be able to buy a house in 20 years. I presume that this is your case too. The fact is that without a mortgage you won’t be able to buy a descant house for you and your family, and you must admit that buying a house is the most important investment in one’s life. I wouldn’t recommend buying an old house because it may only cause your trouble. Of course, there are some good old houses, but their price is usually high too. |
