Am I at risk of bankruptcy?

| I am not able to pay off my mortgage this month and I think that I will have some problems the next month as well. I don’t like where this is getting me to, but there is nothing that I can do about this at this moment. Am I at risk of bankruptcy? What can I do to make this not happen to me, at least not the next month? |

| I have a good and I have a bad news. If you miss just one payment, nothing all that bad is going to happen. You should not be thinking about bankruptcy if you are not able to pay off juts one monthly payment, but if you think that this is something that will be happening in the future as well, and then there is a chance that you might be in a bit of trouble. One thing that you can do is to find a bank that will do some kind of refinance. This is not the best way to get out of debt, but your only way sometime. |
