Hello, folks! My name is Chris and I am a proud father-to-be. I would like to know if there is anyone who has used the paternity leave so far because I am seriously thinking about it. Nobody in the firm for which I work has ever asked for such a thing. Unfortunately, my wife is having complications so someone will have to stay with her. What are your experiences? Please write… Thanks in advance

Hi, Chris! My name is Gary and this is my second time that I am on paternity leave, thank goodness. It is a great thing that we have such an opportunity to help our wives and see these wonderful moments. As far as I know, everyone is entitled to this leave but thereis a catch. When I read about it first on the internet, I was so excited that I called my boss straightaway. I must say that Mike, my boss, personally took care of everything and even gave me a brochure on it. Therefore, it will all depend on your boss’s opinion. For instance, my friend was not allowed the paternity but only the parental leave. The difference is that parental is not a paid leave… and I don’t need to say more about the finances when a baby arrives, do I? So see your boss and find their standpoint on the paternity leaves. Good luck!
