Anybody ever hired a Personal Debt Collector?

| Two years ago I lent a considerable amount of money to a friend of mine, of course with the promise that he would all pay it back within a couple of months. This has never happened an although I have asked him a thousand times in nice and not so nice ways to pay me back, he just wont listen to me any more. I badly need the cash so I am now considering hiring a personal debt collector. Does anyone have experience with this and is it a good idea? |

| Isnt this ILLEGAL? And even if it by some strange coincidence is not illegal, it should be. If you want your money back there are better ways of achieving this, like suing your friend in a court of law. And perhaps the bottom line is unfortunately but probably true Dont lend money to your friends as it will destroy your friendships. |
