| I have been working in a good company for quite some time and I was thinking that it is never to early to start saving for retirement. There is one thing I am particularly interested in. Has anybody lost a pension? If anyone could help, that would be great. Thanks in advance. |

| Thinking about your retirement, and getting a good plan is something that can never come too early. The sooner you start, the better, although limits are bigger the younger you are. Also, in the past few years, some contracts, especially in the case of stakeholder pensions have lowered and you would find it better switching to them. That said, you can indeed change your plan. Unfortunately, it is also possible that you lose a pension. Economic situation is not good, and since employers are responsible for retirement plans, if they go down, or you are laid off, you will lose your pension, especially if you have no re-employment prospects. I know many people with that problem, and it is very hard to solve. |
