| A few weeks ago one of my favorite aunts died. I did not have any expectations with regard to the will. However, it turned out that she left me her rather large collection of jewelry. I am not particularly the type to wear it, but I would not sell it either. So, I am considering putting in a safety deposit box. Are they safe enough for family inheritance? |

| Safety deposit box may be the right solution for you. They are made to be extremely resistant to any kind of natural or man-caused disaster. However, do not let this fool you. There is always a possibility of something going wrong. That is why the manufacturers say resistant; it is not 100 safe. Therefore, you should consider insuring your belongings. What is more you should also consider taxes and fees that have to be paid annually for the safety deposit box maintenance. These fees vary from bank to bank and if you refuse (or forget) to pay the content of your safety deposit box may be repossessed by the government. In my opinion this is a very safe way for you to keep your belongings. |
