| I am looking into buying a house. Since I have not got a lot of funds and the housing market seems to have spun out of control, I am looking into all the options that could provide a cheap(er) mortgage. In this context I came across something called tandem programs. Can you tell me, are those actually mortgage funds? |

| Yes, they are. To be more specific, tandem programs are programs that are offered by the American housing association, if you can call it that, of Ginnie Mae. You know, the Government National Mortgage Association. They are a way of bringing the price of mortgages down, and are a very good option for many people. |
