Are there different credit checking agencies?

| I have recently heard I need to have good credit score in order to by something through a credit. I simply do not know what that is, but I know there is an agency doing that sort of work. However, I am not sure whether there are different credit checking agencies, and which would be the best. Thanks in advance for the suggestions. |

| There are several credit checking agencies, not just one. Many people think Equifax is the only company, but that is not the case. There are other companies, at least two that do the same business, equally successfully. Also, there is Experian and TransUnion. All three are very good, but if you are afraid you are having a bit unfavorable history, you might want to avoid Equifax, and go to, say Experian, as they might come up with a better score calculating the same evidence. In any case, you will have no problems finding an agency. Best of luck. |
