| I am planning to move to Barbados with my partner and the colleagues that I work with now suggested me to open an offshore account. I am not shore if that is a good idea. What are the benefits of such accounts and am I going to lose money. I have to point out the fact that I am new to all of this and that I am not in to economics. I do not know anything about that what so ever. |

| You do not have to worry that much. No wonder why you show that much anxiety because you are not a financial expert neither am I. That did not stop me to open an offshore account. There are plenty of reasons why it is a good idea to move, not all but part of your asset to a good offshore bank. I will name only three. Firstly, your assets are not going to be the subject of domestic and social dynamics which you can not control. Secondly, you are going to be tax-free and you will benefit from high rates that are offered by offshore banks. To sum up, your benefit is not going to be from tax saving only, the offshore banks usually have efficient ways of asset protection then domestic banks and you will have the access to some products and investments that are not presented from domestic banks. |
