| I am Diana from Canada and I am about to choose which pension plan to take. For instance, I have heard about "pay-as-you-go" plan and of course state pension plans. There is also a private pension plans either tax-free individual savings or employer-sponsored. I am really new to all this so I would want to hear your voice about this matter. Thanks in advance. |

| Well, Diana, there are lots of thing that you have to take into account before you sign up for the future pension plan. I am not acquainted with the Canadas pension plans but I do know that it includes three parts: the old age security, Canada pension plan and private pensions and savings. The first two are state controlled while the last depends from you current employer. I must say that opting for private pension plans is not a very good idea since you never know what would be with the private funds of your current employer. You can often read in the news papers about collapse of private funds in United States. You have to be very careful. Opt for state run funds. |
