| Hi! My family and I have lived for 10 years in the house that I inherited from my parents. We sold it few months ago and since then we are living in the flat that we are renting. We had a plan to live there until we gather enough money to buy a new house and we succeeded. But, buying a house isn't that easy as much as we hoped it would be. There are so many houses and so many options. Since we are the first time home buyers we could definitely use some advice from expert. Should we buy a house on our own or use an estate agent? What are the best options for getting our own house? |

| Firstly, don't get shocked by looking in the newspapers and estate magazines for pictures of homes. Homes that get advertised are much more expensive. There are lots of cheaper houses but you will have to do some work to find them. My advice would definitely be to try to buy a house on your own. Although estate agents have much more experience there is theirs commission which has to be paid and this will cut you a part of your money for buying a house. You don't need to pay cash when buying a home. Instead of giving cash you can take a loan from the bank. This loan is called mortgage. If you take a mortgage you will be able to invest your cash and earn more money. There is very big possibility that you can earn more by investing money than you'll pay for the interest rate for the mortgage. |
