We have been looking into the launch of some new products lines and it is a complicated and long process as I am sure that you are all aware of - brand orientation is something extremely important for the future of a product. Do what do you think, should there be into or ext? If you have any thoughts to share that would be nice.

Well, brands can always been extended at a later date, if that is what you mean. When a new brand is just being created I think that a good and solid launch is the right thing to focus on. You should then let the brand develop the way it was planned, and you can always later thing about additional moves that you would like to make.

Personally I think that those kinds of decisions depend very much on the type of product you are creating, and on the brand imagine that you have in mind for your product will determine the further steps that you would take later on, I think! Good luck, in any case!

Can anyone tell me what we are talking about here? What is ext? And what is into? I don't understand what we are talking about, although I have quite a bit of experience in the marketing field. If there is someone here who is willing to satisfy my curiosity, I would be grateful to them for that!
