| I work in telecommunications and am 53 years old. There are a few people around me who have recently taken early retirements and this sounds like an interesting idea to me. Only I am not sure if it is realistic. What is necessary in order to take an early retirement and what steps do I need to undertake to realise it? |

| This is an interesting point for discussion. I have taken out early retirement, and in preparation I already had saved a large amount of money, sorted out all my health issues (got now teeth!), basically sorted out everything there was to sort out. As a test, why dont you try living on the amount you expect to get monthly, when you retire, and see whether it is feasible? One last thing you have to consider when it seems you are ready to take an ER is, do you really want to? What are you going to be doing with your time? |
