Can you tell me more about Dividend Exclusion? I am wondering who can use the right of Dividend Exclusion, in other words whom Dividend Exclusion applies to. For instance with S Corporations, is it possible to claim Dividend Exclusion? Please give me the info you have. Thanks for any replies to my post.

I don't see why S Corps would not be able to use Dividend Exclusion. However, I do find it a bit unlikely to assume that S Corps are actually going to own that much stock of another company, and even receive large dividends on that. S Corps are normally small scale operations after all, and this does not fit in that picture.

S corporations are indeed able to claim Dividend Exclusion. But I am convinced that this is not something that often happens. The amounts gained do vary depending on the percentage of stock owned, and if anything S corporations probably benefit from higher discounts due to lower ownership percentages. Hope that helps...
