I have recently started working for a major corporation. Now it turned up some of the employees need to have additional education in order to adapt to new job demands. I would like to know whether they need to educate paying their own money, or does the firm need to pay for that.

Many companies have been asked that question and the answer is usually that the additional education will always be financed if it is for the benefit of the same company. In other words, since they plan to educate you further in order to keep you with them, the only natural thing is that they pay for it. Also, one thing that can happen is that a company hires you as a bachelor, and then finances you until you become master or doctor and move to another position with them. Such a practice is not that uncommon. Hope this helps.
