| Hi. I have gone back to university as a mature student. I left in my second year because I got married and had two wonderful kids. I don't regret a thing, but dropping out of university has always bothered me. Now I am lucky enough to be able to resume my studies. But the Bank of Scotland refused me a student account. Why?? Am I not a serious student just because I am 45? |

| The banks have no right to discriminate you on an age basis. A student is a student and they are entitled to student accounts. Perhaps your course does not take so long anymore? I think to qualify for such account your course has to last at least two years. I have a student account with the Halifax myself. In my understanding they offer the best deals. Why don't you go and have a chat with them? |
