| I have been looking around for properties to rent and now I have narrowed it down to two flats that I really like. One is owned by a property developer, who professionally rents out properties and the other is a woman who is living abroad. My only concern is about the locks of the flat. I dont like the idea of a previous tenant having the keys, and they might be able to break in. Could I change them? |

| Hi. There shouldnt be any reason why a landlord would not allow you to change the locks of the apartment but everything you do in rented accommodation should be agreed in advance with the owner. That goes for drilling holes, changing locks anything. Good luck with everything. I hope you find the place you want. |
