Good evening, people. I have a question concerning stamp duty. I own a company which has several branches around the world. I would like to make some property transfer between two companies. Will I be free of paying stamp duty? I will be very grateful for your answers. Good bye, people.

Hello. I will try to answer your question the best I can. Earlier, transfer between the main company and the subsidiary company was free of duty. But it isn’t like that nowadays. That exemption does not longer exist. You will have to pay stamp duty. This exemption rules was introduced in 1964. I am not sure when it stopped being valid. I hoped I’ve helped you. Good luck!
