Dear everyone. I have a federal student loan as well as a private one. I would like to be able to consolidate these two debts in to one, "one stop shop" easy repayment loan. I have tried searching on the web but so far have not found anything useful. So the question is - is this possible at all, and if so how do I go about doing so? Thanks so much.

No, this is certainly not common practice. This is as, quite obviously, a private loan carries much larger interest than any Federal loans. So in fact, by consolidating your Federal loan into a private one, you would not make any gains. Apart from of course the easy loan repayment you have already mentioned.
