Hi everyone. I have been unemployed for a good while now. Now I have been offered a job that seems pretty much OK. I would hardly say it is my dream job but it is something I could easily live with The problem is that the salary is much lower than the salary I had before I was made redundant though. I am not sure whether to accept the job or not. What are your views?
That is an interesting one. As you know that when you accept a much lower wage, your market value, ie, what future employers might offer you, could go down. However the same happens the longer you are unemployed. So the decision is yours, both taking the job and refusing it could be bad. On the other hand, if you accept, at least you get the feeling you are doing something constructive.
