| I have become interested in market neutral investing after hearing something about it from a friend of mine. The idea of being able to use any kind of market to your advantage is extremely attractive, that goes without saying! But do hedge funds induce market neutral investing? Please tell me some more. |

| No, hedge funds do not induce or encourage market neutral investing in any way. But the fact is that hedge funds by their very nature most often take market neutral positions, making them an example of market neutral investing. Such funds are designed with all circumstances in mind, and will almost always get positive returns. |
