Do student loans count as income?

| I am a part time student and I would really appreciate some help here. I am able to get a student loan which would really help at the moment as I need to pay for course materials that I cannot afford myself But I don't want this to affect my benefits. Do student loans count as income? Should I take on the loan or will I loose out if I do? |

| No, student loans and grants do not count as income. Therefore they will not affect your benefits. They are also not taxable. If you need the loan then there is nothing to stop you from getting it. You can look this up on the internet if you don't believe me! Don't worry - be happy. Happy studying! |
