| Hi there people. My name is Judy and I would appreciate if you could give me some information about student loans. The thing is that I haven’t managed to get enough financial aid to finance my college, so I am obliged to take out a loan. Do student loans have lower interest rates than other loans? Thank you. |

| Hi there Judy. I am sorry to hear about your financial aid package. But I think that you can handle your education with a good loan. In general, student loans tend to have a slightly lower interest rate than the other ones. But, not necessarily. Interest rates change every year and they depend on the inflation rate, as you may know. I am not sure, but I think that the current interest rate for student loans is 4.8%, which is not bad. Now, there are a certain limits on how much you can borrow. One of the factors is your household income. Basically, that’s it. I hope that I was of some help to you. I wish you all the best in college. Bye! |
