Does purchase of overseas companies counts in capital inflows?

| I have been looking around the net for information about the growth in the Chinese economy - something that is already important to virtually all of us, and will be even more so in the future! I see they have large capital inflows. Does purchase of overseas companies counts in capital inflows too? |

| Interesting point. I think that the purchase of, or merger with, overseas or foreign companies could indeed count as capital inflows. It would be great to hear from you which foreign companies have been specifically bought by China recently? This is something I did not have any information about, but would like to. |
