I would like to make some investments on the Internet. That's why I need some information on finding an online stockbroker. I would like to get some tips on choosing a broker. How much would I be charged for services? Do online brokers work for a a stock brokerage house? Thank you for advises on this issue!

It's not easy to choose how to invest your money, but if you want to do it this way, you have a straight path to follow. First of all, you have to decide how much money you want to invest. It's very important because it would help you choose how to invest. Most brokers require a minimum investment which could be from 500 to 2000 pounds. Some of them would not ask for initial deposit. Stocks don't have to be the only investment you would make, so you should check what services do brokers offer. Some of them are specialized in stocks only. You should check on-line about fees and commissions that brokers require for their services. You would have to pay some fees for investing such are maintenance of account, commission, IRA etc. On-line brokers do work for a stock brokerage house, it's necessary. They are certified experts and depending on service you choose you can also get a financial advise from them.
