| My two friends approached me with the idea to enter into property building business with them. They already bought a property and now they need a building permission. I would like to know something about the process of getting building permission and what are the costs of it. Can we even build without any permission? |

| Every local council controls buildings in the district and they are usually issuers of permissions. I hope that your friends know that not every piece of lend is appropriate for building on it and that they already sorted that out. There are two kinds of building permissions: Outline planning permission and Detailed planning permission. Most builders often buy land with outline planning permission because it allows them to finish their job earlier. It is a permission to build on the site without specifying the precise details. After obtaining an outline planning permission you should apply for a Detailed planning permission, with full architect's plan for the property. |
