| Hi people! I have been living in a small flat with my girlfriend for five years now. Since we have bought the place, both of us are now in better financial position. We would love to get a new, bigger house. We are aware that this is an important and drastic step to undertake. Who is in the same situation? What are the things we need to take into account? |

| if your profit on your small flat gets you enough for the deposit on the new place - excellent! Make sure you calculate for how much you could get a new mortgage. But take into account your true financial picture, and don't bite off more than you can chew. Having a nice house is one thing... But if you are struggling to keep up with the repayments life becomes a lot more unpleasant! |
