| My parents live abroad. Recently my mothers health got worse and I have to go to see her. I will probably stay with her until she gets better. The problem is that I have a job and I do not know how my boss would react on my decision to leave. I have been working for a year and he is very satisfied with my work. I was thinking about getting unpaid leave. What should I do? |

| Unfortunately, you do not have a lot of options. Your mother is sick and you must go to her. Now is the time she needs you the most. I think that you have to speak with your boss, explain to him everything and see what he is going to decide. You do not have a lot of choice here. The problem is that there is a possibility that he decides to replace you with someone else, but all you can do is to hope that he will not do it and that he will allow you to get unpaid leave. |
