| I thought that the smartest thing to do, when selling my old place, would be to assure restrictive convenant, so that next buyer can obey and respect what we all used to, during all these years, and that is to keep the old tree in good shape, it is over 100 years old. All I wanted from this guy was to avoid hurting it, and he bumped on it with his car. I never thought that this convenant will serve its purpose, I still don’t. Has anyone taken out insurance against a restrictive convenant? |

| That’s called bad luck! However, you have the chance to get the money, it won’t bring the tree back, but it is a nice opportunity for you do start something new. It depends on harshness of the penalty, of course. Honestly, I’ve never heard of such case, a person to avoid restrictive covenant and do against it, but I guess that there will be no problems when it comes to charging it. |
