| Good evening people. My name is Harry and I would appreciate if you could give me some help. I am having a problem with Triple Witching Day. I don’t quite understand what it is. Can you explain to me and how it affects the market? Thank you in advance with your posts. |

| Hello Harry. I’ll be more than glad to help you with this. . Triple Witching Day is really interesting. Here is what I can tell you about it. Triple Witching Day is an important hour in the stock market trade which takes place couple of times a year. It is last hour of trading day on third Friday every March, June, September and December. On these dates three types of securities usually expire. Those are: stock index futures, stock market index options and stock options. That’s why on these dates trade and volatility usually go up.
