| I have recently bought a new home. It is in nice neighborhood, but I would still like to insure it. However, since I have now to watch how I spend the money I have left, I would like to know how much does an insurance costs, and whether it is a good idea to get it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

Insuring your home is always a good idea. To know how much it costs to insure your home, you have to know against what exactly you want to insure it. The more things you want to insure it against, the more money you will have to pay. For example, if you insure it against burglary, you will need to pay less amount of money then in the case you want to insure it against, say, earthquakes too. Also, the cost depends on the probability of damage. If you live in a very safe neighborhood, you will need to pay less money than if you lived in a notorious one. There are several good places on the internet you can go to and learn much more about the insurance of your home. I suggest you go to http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/
money101/lesson19/ and http://info.insure.com/home/basics.htm. Also, you may go to http://www.iii.org/media/facts/statsbyissue/
homeowners/ for an example of the rates regarding the home insurance. |
