Hello people! I am the joint owner of a small company and so far, we have not been VAT registered. We are now considering doing so but we are not sure whether we should. We are under the threshold but might not be for much longer... Although that might be wishful thinking too. Anyway I am hoping you can tell me a bit about the process of registering?
I don't really understand your question. If you have already decided to register, just get on with it. Simply download the form from the HM Revenue and Customs website and start filling it in. If you do not know how best to present your company, go and see a financial advisor. After you are VAT registered you will have lots more paperwork. Prepare yourself for that, too!
