Yes, of course. And the first one is that you do indeed think about this very seriously! The risks and problem areas are very many, for rewards which are not always commensurate. Bars are the notorious field of the "demi monde" as the French say. A lot of criminality revolves around them, especially their management and ownership. Not to mention the clientele and their own insalubrious habits, the frequently required "protections", the "unhappy competition" etc.
From a strictly business point of view, the hours are incredibly long (and unhealthy), the working environment is awful , the stock and credit control problems are far worse than average, to mention just a few. Believe me, stay away! |
