I am traveling abroad within next 10 days and I would greatly appreciate if someone gives me some general info on how do you check for credit card exchange rate abroad?
I am planning on buying a lot over there-I will be traveling through Europe- and that is why I am so much curious on how much those exchange rates would affect my shopping there abroad and how could I check this?

| Well what I know at this very moment that exchange rate regarding US$ is not that great especially with euro so practically you will need a bunch of $ to get euros for example. Anyway my advice is that while you are still here in US you better try to get some euros before reaching Europe and you better exchange it at your bank than at the airports. And remember then when it comes to credit card using abroad you should keep in mind that besides this bad exchange rate you may also face some extra fees and you better choose the proper credit card for going abroad so you take care of bringing the credit card that charge you less foreign transactions. And as for checking this exchange rate abroad you may try find this out with using ATM for they actually update their exchange rate on daily bases. |
