How do you get more than just one credit card?

Ive just got back from my bank. I wanted to get another credit card but they refused me, and I felt as though they didnt understand me. They looked at me as Im not normal. My friend has two credit cards, Visa and Master, why would it be impossible for me to have one only? I have Visa credit card but Id also like to have Master as well.

I think that the personnel didnt understand what exactly you want. I know what you want but Im not quite sure why would you want that. Probably the bank that gave you Visa credit card doesnt issue Master card, its common that each bank issues one type of cards only. So if you want another credit card go to another bank, open an account there and fill it with money, and if you meet certain requirements youll get another credit card. And you can also ask your friend how he could have got two cards.Personally, I prefer having one account, in one bank, and only one credit card. Its much easier to monitor the circulation of credits and debits.
