| Hi. Can you give me some advice please? A few years ago I got badly into trouble with debt when I was in a relationship with my ex. The credit card debts really got out of control and there were a couple of loans taken out in the process, mainly to pay off the credit cards. After I split op with my then partner I really made an effort to clear these debts and I am now proud to say that I have paid them all off. Now I have applied for one of those current accounts with perks, and got turned down. I know why this happened and need to update my credit records. How is this done? |

| You can write to these credit-scoring agencies and in return for a small fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope they will send you your file. If there is anything in there that is incorrect or old information, you get in touch with them, providing the up to date information, and they will then mend their files. Good luck. |
