How many Federal Reserve Banks are included in US Federal Reserve System?

| I have been reading up all about the United States banking sytems, including about the US Federal Reserve System. I now have a question. Can you help me answer it? I would like to find out how many Federal Reserve Banks are included in the US Federal Reserve System? Thanks. |

| Hi there. Of course I will answer your question. There are 12 Federal Reserve Banks included in the US Federal Reserve System and they have 25 branches. These should not be confused with member banks, which is something else altogether. These Federal Reserve Banks are at an intermediate level. Does that answer your question? |
