How much to pay for advertising?

| My friends and I are investigating all the implications of starting a new business. The type of business we would open would certainly benefit from the necessary advertising and marketing. We need to budget for this in our costing plan. But how much would we pay for this? As total beginners we have no clue about the costs... and your advice would be appreciated! |

| No idea. I can't really help you there as you don't mention the type of business you are planning on opening nor the type of marketing you were thinking of engaging a professional for. That's understandable; you do not want anyone to steal your idea. I do have some advice though. Approach a marketing agency whose work you like and ask them for a quote. They will be happy to oblige. |
