| I have recently decided to open a bank account. I have some cousins that moved to abroad and they would like to send some money once in a while. However, as I am 16, I am not sure if I can do that. Actually, how old one has to be in order to be able to open a bank account? I would be grateful for any kind of info. Thanks in advance. |

| Opening a bank account generally does not require any kind of special condition. Of course, there are different kinds of accounts and you certainly would not be eligible for the same type of one, or the benefits that follow from it, as the business people, of course. However, opening the simplest account just in order to receive money will be no problem. When it comes to age, there no specific limits. As a 16-year old, you will certainly be able to open an account, so there is really nothing to worry about. Just consult your parents when it comes to choosing the right bank. |
