How safe are savings bonds?

| I have a question concerning savings bonds, since now I’m for the first time in position to handle some of them. People told me different stories and, frankly, I hardly understood them anything. Maybe you should tell me more about this issue, how safe are savings bonds, what should be my greatest concern? I would appreciate any answer. |

| It should be safe enough since government is involved, you are having that privilege which considers taxes, and you are not obligated to pay for them since government is setting you free, of course there are bonds issued from some private company and I believe that is what you are talking about. There is no reason to question them if they are what they really are – a legal obligation. |
