I have recently been looking to start with investments. I have accumulated fair amount of assets and I have looking into the most efficient way to invest. I would like to know one thing. How to be a stockholder on the record date? Any info will do. It will really mean a lot to me.

When you want to invest there are various types of things you can do. There are various funds where you can participate - be it mutual, cooperate, or a trust. Special dividends are pretty common. They have the same purpose and effect as normal ones, but still they have some particularity. It might be the date of the maturity or the particular value, but to be entitled, you need to own stocks, and have it on record date. One example is special share Microsoft issued at a 3$ price couple of years ago. You can be that of you are careful about the ex-dividend date which is determined almost singularly by a special dividend record date. That said, you my buy a stock before the ex-dividend date in order to have it on record date.

Starting a new company is always a big risk, and mutual funds, as a firm that takes money from other people and makes investments is especially risky, as you are not dealing with your own money. In terms of an insurance, life policies mostly do not pay participating dividends, because these are pretty special in that they give you additional profit. You can check various options at http://www.hsbc.com.hk/1/2/hk/insurance/life/detail.

Any investment carries with it a risk in part. That is why you need to make sure everything goes as you plan, and that you make a good plan. You always need to have a good strategy, and one of these is ensuring the value of your business. With the Dividend Reinvestment Plan, the essential benefit is the basic equity returned as a dividend, which goes back invested as a more secure way, as a return is almost certain. Life policies do you a great benefit, and I wish you best of luck with your dividends.
