How to obtain a Seller's Permit?

| I want to start a job as a car dealer. I manage to provide funding for buying enough cars to start. However, when I start looking what cars to buy I heard that I also need some seller's permit (car dealer license) for car dealer. Is that true? If it is then how to obtain a seller's permit? I am in kind of hurry so I would appreciate any information. |

| Yes, you do need car dealer license if you want to become a car dealer. You can do that without it but you want last long. Who is approving that license usually depends on what state you want to do business in. You should contact the used car commission if you can find their numbers. If not you could check with the State government offices you are from and they will provide either the needed forms or information's. Usually it is the agency, which manages licenses. Generally, to get a car dealer license you should have registered business, stock of cars, liability insurance (depending on the state, about 15,000 USD) and license bond (depending on the state, about 25,000 USD). |
