| Hi. I have had a gambling problem in the past and I have been declared bankrupt. Thankfully I dont gamble anymore now and I can really say that I am cured from my addiction. However the consequences of this ugly period of my life still live on and I now have problems getting a bank account. My question is, is it at all possible to get a current account after bankruptcy and whom to bank with? |

| Any Basic Account should do the trick for you. This is an account with no overdraft or loan possibilities, a no-frills easy to use account, which will perfectly well meet your needs. I dont see why any bank should refuse you on such an account, as they cant possibly loose any money to you this way. Examples of such accounts are the Natwest Step Account and the Halifax Easycash. |
