| I have a contracting company of my own. Lot of my colleagues have been hiring illegal immigrants lately. Because of that, they can bid with much lower prices. I have been thinking about that for a while. Should I hire illegal immigrants or not? Does anybody have any advice? I need some help please. |

| I am also a contractor and I have a policy not to hire illegal immigrants. When I have been consulting some older colleagues about that, they all told me I shouldn't do that. Immigrants do work for much lower wages. However, I think that the quality of their work is also much lower. If you did not know, the penalties for hiring illegals are enormous. The officials can even close a firm that has been hiring illegals. They can take away your license for doing the job as a contractor. I also think that we should give a job to our workers. If you have all that in mind I think you also will not be hiring illegals. It is better to lose a job from time to time then losing a firm permanently. |
