Investing in gold-silver coins?

There are rumors that many people today invest in gold, and I would like to know if that is the truth, since that idea is crossing my mind. Is it a smart thing to do? Investing in gold or silver coins does represent a kind of great security, since money itself is nothing but correlation of currency with gold value at the market? What should I do with coins?

You can get them, I mean buy them and own or, what seems like a good thing, put them in one of numerous banks which deal with that kind of property, you can have your own treasure stored in some bank plus you get some kind of insurance from the institution. That idea is as old as money itself. It is in a way very interesting and smart idea. Gold can hardly lose a significant deal of its value, ever…..
