| My father left me some money after he died and since he always wanted me to become a stock broker I would like to invest that in money in stocks. But, every time I spoke to some broker about this he always asked do I want to make a short term or long term investment. As you can imagine, I never became a broker and I don’t know what exactly they mean by using this terms. I’m considering investing for the period of five years, is it considered to be a short term investment? |

| This is something not many people really know. People usually thing that 5 year period is long term investment, but it’s not. People think that only 1 year represents short term investment, but this is not true. 5 years or less, in terms of stocks is considered short term investment. You should also tell your broker that you don’t have much experience; then you will be able to ask him for a recommendation about your investment. In theory, every 5 years investment has very good chance to bring you profit, but try to make your portfolio reasonably diverse as possible. |
