I would like to get your opinions on the following. I know that the Commodity Price Index is often used in the case of various metals, in agriculture and so on. But do you think that the Commodity Price Index is always representative of the market and its movements? I am looking forward to some answers.

If you take into account that the Commodity Price Index is a measured average you will be able to conclude for yourself, that it is some kind of an indication of the price but not more than that. It is a useful indication nonetheless, which is why it is used often.

I don't see the Commodity Price Index as something particularly interesting, although it is something permanent and as such many people find it a good place to start looking for information about the averages in price on certain commodities. And what do you think about the Commodity Price Index yourself?
