| I was thinking about renovating my house. I have a couple of ideas and I am positive I will do a great job. That is the reason I am thinking abut taking a remortage. Can you tell me more about paying stamp duty on remortage? Do you know if a stamp duty is avoidable? I appreciate every advice you can give me on this matter. Thank you. |

Hello, I have to admit that this is not exactly my area of expertise. That is way I would not be able to provide you with the most accurate information. Still, I think that you cannot avoid paying stamp duty. However the best solution for you would be hiring a good mortgage broker. Stamp duty is very important so you have to speak with professional about it.
