Is being a silent partner illegal act?

| The practice of secret rebates and kick backs is something we all know about I think. I have always thought this to be a doubtful process but I am at the same time aware that it does go on an awful lot. What I am curious about is whether it is actually an illegal act to be a silent partner. |

| Yes, I expect so. This silent partner is a partner that does not appear anywhere officially and is "missing" on amy kind of contracts and official agreements. This is due to the fact that he wants to hide his presence, most likely due to his other interests (he would have a conflict of interest if his presence were to be known). |
