Is insurance included in financial services?

| Dear all. Can I bother you with a little question? I am just looking up something about financial services in the economy and non financial services. I am not sure now whether or not insurance as a sector is included in financial services or not? I really can't remember. Thanks in advance. |

| No, believe it or not, but insurance is not considered to be a financial service. In fact, it is actually grouped under the non financial services in the economy. Don't ask me why - that was not your question anyway - but just believe me. That is the way it is. |
